I was born on 6 August 1956 in San Francisco, California to Janet and (the late) Richard Hovis.
I grew up in Santa Monica, California where I attended elementary, junior high school, and high school (graduating in 1974), in addition to involvement in sports and recreation (Little League +, the Boy’s Club ++). Further, it was in elementary school – St. Augustine’s By-the -Sea Parish School that I found, and made the choice to truly journey with God.
I attended Arizona State University from 1974 to 1977 – seeking to become an architect, however, I was not accepted, and, as such, I graduated with a Liberal Arts degree.
Upon graduation from Arizona State University, I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and studied City and Regional Planning at the Master’s level. I successfully completed one (1) year in a two (2) year program – I did not complete the Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning – due to personal reasons.
I returned to Santa Monica where I started (October 1979) my career as graphic designer with Exxon Company, USA. I spent five years with Exxon Company, USA.
While working with Exxon Company, USA I was accepted into architectural school – Sci-Arc in Southern California, however, I did not attend preferring to stay with Exxon..
In 1982 I married Laura Flosi and in April 1983 we had our one and only child – Lauren Alain Hovis – a gift from God.
We moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1984 from Los Angeles, where I went to work as a graphic designer with Kitchell CEM (from 1985 -1987).
From 1987 – 1995 I was an independent contractor, and a registered representative in mortgage finance, financial management, graphic design, and drafting.
Further, I attended the University of Phoenix and successfully obtained a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in 1982.
I was also a member of the Scottsdale Jaycees, where I became very involved in community events and projects.
In 1994, I accepted a cartography position with the Defense Mapping Agency in Reston, Virginia. As such, I relocated from Phoenix to Reston.
In 1998, I was accepted and worked as a Visual Information Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency. In 2002, I worked as a Support Officer until my retirement (due to a need for shoulder surgery) in September 2018.
Away from my Federal Government service, I have been involved in various organizations and activities in Northern Virginia.
In November of 2011, I married Rebecca Ouellette in Santa Monica, California. I reside in San Tan Valley, AZ with my two hamster - Jess and Timothy, our fish, our lizard - RJ Lizard., and our cats - Pearl and Grey.
As to hobbies, I enjoy playing sports, attending sporting events, mentoring individuals from financial management to hamsters, building models, photography, travel, multimedia design, managing partner for RJ Hamster, and jazz – smooth jazz to a samba or a bossa nova.
Love and God Bless,
Peter – aka RJ Hamster Jo hi

Here’s why. (ad)
Louis Navellier – who manages $1.1 billion including $358 million in AI stocks – says a new AI computer being built at a classified government facility in Tennessee could make today’s leading AI models obsolete overnight. He compares it to the iPhone moment that wiped out Nokia, BlackBerry, and Motorola.
When this machine comes online, it will reportedly accelerate AI breakthroughs 360-fold – compressing five years of progress into five days. Navellier has identified specific stocks he’d sell before this hits, and one ticker he’d buy before May 5th.

SpaceX has confidentially filed for an IPO with the SEC, targeting a June 2026 listing at a valuation exceeding $1.75 trillion – potentially the largest IPO in history.
But one expert says buying shares directly may not be the smartest move. There is a lesser-known way to tap into this windfall that most investors haven’t considered.

Single-vineyard and estate-grown, FAY Cabernet Sauvignon embodies the rich heritage of the Stags Leap District in Napa Valley. The vineyard—its namesake—was the first planting of Cabernet Sauvignon in the AVA, establishing a legacy that continues to define the region.
This latest vintage opens with a lifted bouquet of black cherries, persimmons, dates, and violets, unfolding with graceful floral accents. The palate is bright and expressive, carrying vibrant energy and finely honed tension.ACQUIRE

Later this week, people in Israel will celebrate Yom Yerushalayim, Jerusalem Day, to remember the reunification of the Holy City in 1967. This year’s celebration will take place under a cloud of threat and imminent danger because of the certain knowledge that missiles could again start raining down at any moment. The Jewish people are suffering right now and dealing with so much, and they urgently need our help. We have received a generous matching gift challenge that will double your gift to help twice as many people—so please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today.
The situation is urgent. So many people have lost homes, family members, and even everything they owned in the missile attacks. I’m thinking about families like the Cohens. They buried six family members on the day their son was supposed to have his bar mitzvah. We helped them with the medical bills, buying clothing, and more, and they were so grateful. But there are so many others in urgent need.
The people of Israel are suffering greatly right now, and while they need our prayers, they also need our help. Together we are answering the command of God, “Comfort ye My people.” Together we are telling, and more importantly showing, the people of Israel that they are not alone. Please send your most generous gift today and share this with everyone you know.
Your support of the Friends of Zion today allows us to comfort the people of Israel who have survived the terrorist attacks, minister to the families of the hostages, continue to purchase and deliver food, medicine, clothing, and other necessities of life for the poor Holocaust survivors and refugees of Ukraine, continue to operate the Friends of Zion Museum, and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people living in Israel. Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.
You clearly know quality satire when you see it, and it’s people like you who know that the Babylon Bee is on the front lines of the battle to keep comedy free from censorship. Waging this war armed with only our two jokes, we need the help of strong, principled fans of irreverent humor like you to keep us going.
Signing up to be a paid Babylon Bee subscriber not only gives you access to exclusive content but also allows our staff to eat occasionally and, Lord willing, keep their electricity on during the cold winter months. Supporting the Bee as a subscriber also allows us to keep producing cutting-edge jokes that land me television interviews with Tucker Carlson.
In short, becoming a paid subscriber to the Babylon Bee makes you a part of the fuel that keeps the engine of fake news running. Without that fuel, we’ll be out on the street, spreading our satire door-to-door. Trust me, you don’t want that.
Consider the well-being of our staff and the fate of human civilization as a whole and become a paid Babylon Bee subscriber today.
